How to use
For best results, install a new contact tip and shroud. Shake the can for 1 minute to reincorporate any separated components.
With the contents of the can mixed and before installing the new shroud, spray the coating onto all parts that need to be protected from welding spatter. Once the contact tip is fully covered, install the new shroud to be coated as well. Spray from 4 to 6 inches away to assist with an even coverage and allow the coating to dry for at least 5 seconds before use.
When done coating your welding equipment, hold the can of LOCTITE SF 7900 upside down and spray for several seconds. This will clear the spray nozzel and prevent blockage.
FAQ
This product is intended to be used with MIG welding and not for TIG or stick welding.
This product will protect the contact tips and welding nozzles by preventing adhesion of welding spatter. This could also be applied to the surfaces in the area to prevent adhesion of the spatter in unintended areas.
This product should not be applied to "hot" tips due to possibility of fires or explosions from the propane/butane propellant used. It will be safe to apply when the tip is less than 150°F/65°C.
When finished coating the welding nozzle, turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to clear the nozzle and prevent future clogging.
